Who is Prancing Horse?
Prancing Horse is a nonprofit premier accredited PATH Intl.* center. It was founded in 1984 by Ronnie Meltzer. The mission of Prancing Horse is to enhance the lives of individuals by providing a safe environment for therapeutic horsemanship. Prancing Horse offers several programs including therapeutic horsemanship lessons, serving veterans through its Freedom Reins Program, and a senior program. It serves people from ages 4 – 70+ who experience a wide range of physical, cognitive, emotional, mental, social, and psychological challenges. With the help of its certified staff, dedicated volunteers, gracious donors, and partnering horses, Prancing Horse has been able to change the lives of those within its communities.

What is Path International?
PATH Intl. accredits Prancing Horse Center, provides certifications to its instructors, and upholds standards for the organization to abide by. These standards show concern for safety and quality of service to all parties (horses, participants, volunteers, and staff) involved. PATH Intl. also provides continuing education workshops, conferences, webinars, and networking opportunities to members and nonmembers. PATH Intl. is internationally recognized and therefore is held to a higher standard. PATH Intl. has created an industry-standard model for training lesson program volunteers.
