Meet the Herd

Secret

Secret is a 17 year old Hanoverian cross gelding who prefers to take things slow. However, he just might remember his fox hunting days if you say “Hey Secret, let’s go!”

He got his name Secret, because no one knew his mom was going to have a foal. Now making children and adults happy has turned out to be this special fella’s lifetime goal!

Goldfish

If you ever wanted to meet a horse named Fish, then we can grant your wish! Goldfish, “Fish,” or “Fishy” is a 12 year old, 16 hand, Dutch Warmblood gelding who is as striking as can be! He is personable and charming as everyone who visits will surely see!

Once to be an upper level eventer was his path, however, a neck injury sidelined that plan. Now Fish is quite happy to bring the joy of riding to whomever he can!

Alex

Alex is a 16.3 hand, 19 year old bay thoroughbred gelding who is as handsome as he is tall. He is quite popular at Prancing Horse and is well-loved by one and all.

Alex once was a race horse, but now prefers to take things slow and steady. So if you want to go on a nice little leisurely ride, this friendly guy will always be ready.

Buck

We knew our day was filled with good luck …
When we greeted a handsome gelding Paint named Buck!
He arrived at the farm with his BFF Lucy, the two make quite a pair!
Buck has lots of charm and rugged good looks to spare!

Joker

Joker is one of our newer arrivals!  This 19 year old registered Quarter Horse is delightful with his calm and friendly personality.  He is eager to please and happy to make friends.  Currently, his best friend is Alex with whom he shares a pasture.  He looks forward to meeting everyone that comes to Prancing Horse Farm!!

Penny

A sweet little face at Prancing Horse is a pretty 18 year old warmblood/Quarter horse mare named Penny that everyone really should meet. She is one lovely girl, who is, oh so sweet!

Roscoe

Roscoe is a 15 year old, 13.1 hand Welsh/Arab pony who looks white, but is technically grey. In doing groundwork in the Veteran’s Program, Roscoe has found his way.  Roscoe belongs to the wonderful Miss Susan, a Prancing Horse instructor, and has lived with her since he was two.

Savannah

Savannah is a Draft Morgan mare with a “zen” attitude.  She’s not the largest horse on the farm, but she surely knows what to do! Savannah came to us from her nice life of vacationing in Vermont on the hot summer days.  Now she likes working and has stolen many hearts with her sweet, gentle ways.

Lucy

Lucy, who joined the farm with her pal Buck, is a Quarter Horse mare.  In an earlier career, she used to barrel race.  She now shines in her new role as a therapy horse and has made new friends galore!
